Hello, friends!
Goodness, it has been a bit since I last posted in my blog! Time has really gotten away from me. I do apologize for that.
Can you believe that March is fast approaching?! I don’t know about you all, but my household has been quite busy since Christmas ended and 2020 began!
We are at the beginning of getting our new property ready for our home. We are quite excited and overwhelmed at the whole project needless to say! We will be moving to the country and are so looking forward to that new experience! Never fear, I shall keep you updated for each step of the process. I know it will be a learning time for me! Maybe it will be a help to you in the future as well. π
Rocks are out, and Sharks are in!
Homeschooling is going along well. We have ended our geology unit and have started studying about the ocean and marine life. What fun! We are using a mix of curriculums, mini units, as well as books about the ocean as stated in a previous blog about our science curriculum. I have a few marine life unit studies in my teacher’s pay teacher’s shop that I encourage you to check out! They are great for students to use as additional activities to go along with their own ocean studies or used as a quick study on their own. I have put these into a Marine Life Bundle! So now you can purchase all five at a discounted rate if purchased as a bundleΒ here.
My son has been using them and enjoying each one. So far we have used the “Sea Lion and Walrus Unit” and Β the “Sea Cows: Manatee vs Dugong Unit.” We will be starting the “Sharks Unit” this next week. My son is working on a science fair project to enter in our homeschool co-op’s science fair in April. His topic goes along nicely with our current studies–“Why don’t shark’s sink?” I will make sure to post his project and how he went about testing his question. Science fairs were always fun for me as a kid and as a teacher years later. Do you like them? Have any of your children participated in one lately? If so, I’d love to hear in the comments what their topics were!
What’s New in my Shop!
I am beyond happy with some new items that I’ve been working on per request for my shop! I was asked to put together some unit studies in science for ages K4-1st grade. I was and am happy to do it! I really enjoy getting requests for different types of studies for children, so don’t hesitate to send a few requests my way! I’m happy to create activities to encourage children to love learning!
Now what topics have I been working on? Here they are so far:
These units for the littles can be seen and purchasesΒ here!
I will be completing K4-1st grade units for “Seasons and Weather” and “Matter” very soon. Be on the lookout for these fun units as well!
Stacy
Are favorites mentioned in this blog are the shark and human body study units!
You have been busy! Your new unit studies look amazing. So glad to have you back. God bless β€
